Day Yachting

A day trip on our Beach Club yacht is available in Vassiliki and Porto Heli, and is one of the most popular add-on activities we offer. You can sail yourself or book our own skipper (subject to availability) and enjoy the local coastline or perhaps pop over to Ithaca for lunch or to a clearwater anchorage for a swim.

Our yacht is a Bavaria 37 or similar and is available for Surf Hotel and Nautica Bay beach club guests to book on arrival.

Try a skippered cruise

You can book our yacht with a skipper to introduce you to yachting and teach you some skills, or just kick back and enjoy the cruise, a sunset glass of bubbly or a clearwater anchorage for lunch. Our yacht can be booked for half day, evening or full day cruises

Sail her yourself

To charter this yacht you will need to have yacht sailing experience and a certificate to prove your skills. Such as the RYA or IYT International Certificate of Competence or an RYA Day Skipper or IYT Bareboat Skipper qualification.

If you don’t have the necessary piece of paper then you can hire our skipper or why not take the IYT course with us? It’s a 5 day practical yachting course, lots of fun and can be easily done from our Vassiliki Beach Club. To join the course you don’t need any prior experience and we’ll train you up to be a proficient flotilla skipper on a two week Stay Sail holiday with us.

Book on arrival due to availability. For bareboat, please bring our proof of qualification, (min) RYA Day Skipper, ICC or IYT Bareboat Skipper, or ICC.

More information

The yacht is available to board from 10am at the Surf Hotel from Vassiliki Marina which is a 10min walk from the club. Or from outside Nautica bay Beach Club on the hotel’s pontoon. We would ask that the yacht be returned to the marina by 5pm, but we are flexible if the prevailing conditions add a slight delay to your return.

Lunch is not included in the cost. There are lots of tavernas and restaurants dotted around the Gulf that are lovely to sail to. Alternatively you can buy supplies locally or ask our chef to provide a packed lunch for a small local charge. The yacht has a working galley and all the equipment you need for self catering.

Our day yacht is only available when not on weekly charter and this may not be known until arrival, so do call our sales team if booking the yacht is important to you
